Tamiya 1/16 Full Option King Tiger Tank - Page 4

This picture below shows what stages 1-9 looks like finished and it only took a few hours to complete.

Stage 10-12 includes installing the rear hull panel and accessories. You will notice that I haven’t installed the accessories on the rear hull panel. This is because I will be painting and weathering them at a later time.

It’s entirely up to you in how you want to handle the painting of the accessories for your rear hull panel. Many people attach all there accessorie parts and paint everything all at the same time. I personal paint accessories individually, which takes extra time on my part but I feel you get a better finish and weathering effect on your parts. But it's up to you and there's no right or wrong when it comes to painting accessories.

Stage 13-14 is putting together the wheels and stalling them on your tank. This part of the build is pretty straight forward as long as you follow the instructions and pictures very closely, which includes using grease on the road wheel shafts. The metal parts for the wheels were already primed and the outer road wheels where painted in a tan color before installing them. But the outer road wheels can be primed if you want. It’s just up to you!

Stage 15-16 is for installing your tracks. The instructions ask you to remove 4 links from each side of your tracks, which is pretty simple to do. Remove the metal pins that hold the links in place with needle nose pliers. Now your ready to install the tracks, which can be a little tricky especially if your installing them be yourself. Just take your time because it’s a snug fit.
