German Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf.F 1/24 scale Plastic Model Tank kit. Production of the Panzer II ended in 1940, but due to a chronic tank shortage production was resumed in 1941 with the Ausf. F., an improved version of the Ausf. C. The Ausf. F had strengthened armor on the front and had more simple silhouette than the Ausf. C. Production of the Ausf. F ended in December 1942 after building 524 tanks. It became valued at the front in the middle term of the war. The basic turret is one piece. The individual track links connected by metal pins give a it realistic look and feel along with easy assembly. The clamps used for the OVM (On vehicle material) are accurately reproduced. This was only possible by making the kit a 1/24 scale. The leaf spring suspension has been faithfully reproduced with each spring requiring 6 parts. Adjusting the tension of the track is possible by moving the idler wheel. The fender`s peculiar brace pattern surface texture has been accurately reproduced as on the real vehicle. Accurately reproduced rear section includes separate open outlet grille, deflector and air release pipe. Separate top and bottom parts for the armored drivers visor shutter gives the option to set the height of the aperture. There are transparent parts for the turret periscope and the light lens. Separate part for signal port on the Commanders hatch reproduced to show it either open or closed. There are photo-etch parts for clamps, the air release pipe cover and the tool box. Decals for 2 tanks deployed in Russia are included. The tank kit does not include a figure. The tank Commander figure is scheduled as separate future release.
